Why we created it:
The Speech Circle was set up to give parents and carers of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) a space where their voices are heard. Many families say they feel isolated or overwhelmed by the challenges of navigating education, health, and support services. The podcast provides peer support in an accessible, engaging format — parents can listen at home, on the school run, or whenever they need encouragement.

Education & Advocacy
Education and advocacy go hand in hand: by understanding the SEND system — from school support and EHCPs to transition planning — parents can make sure their child receives the right help at the right time. Advocacy means speaking up for your child’s needs, whether in school meetings, with professionals, or as part of a parent forum. With the right knowledge, confidence, and support networks, parents become powerful advocates, ensuring their child not only accesses education but also thrives socially, emotionally, and academically.
