Event FAQs
What are your events?
We run Stay & Play sessions and Day Trips designed for children with speech delays and SEND, along with their families.
Our aim is to provide safe, inclusive spaces where children can play, explore and families can connect.
Who can attend?
Our events are open to:
- Children with speech delays and/or SEND
- Their siblings
- Parents and carers
All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
Do I need to book?
Yes – all families must book in advance.
This allows us to manage numbers, ensure safety, and provide the best experience.
Is there a cost to attend?
Some events are free, while others may have a fee.
All details will be clearly provided at the time of booking.
How many tickets can I book?
For Day Trips, there is a maximum allowance of:
- 2 adults and 4 children per family
If you require additional tickets, please contact us directly and we will do our best to accommodate.
What should we bring?
For Stay & Plays:
- Comfort items your child may need
- Snacks/drinks (if allowed at the venue)
For Day Trips:
- Food and drinks (unless stated otherwise)
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Any essentials your child may need
Will food be provided?
Food is not usually provided unless stated. Please bring what your family needs.
Are there activities?
Yes! Activities may include:
- Play equipment
- Sensory activities
- Entertainment (depending on the event)
All activities are optional and child-led.
What support is available?
Our volunteers are there to:
- Help facilitate sessions
- Support the running of the event
⚠️ Important: Volunteers do not provide 1:1 supervision.
Do I need to supervise my child?
Yes – parents/carers are fully responsible for their children at all times.
Children must not be left unattended.
What if my child has additional needs?
We aim to be as inclusive as possible.
Please let us know in advance if your child has specific needs so we can support you where possible.
What happens if something is damaged?
Parents/carers are responsible for their children’s behaviour.
Any damage caused may result in costs towards repair or replacement.
Can siblings attend?
Yes – siblings are welcome at all events.
What if plans change?
We understand things happen. Please inform us as soon as possible if you can no longer attend so we can offer your space to another family.
Can photos be taken?
We may take photos/videos for promotional use.
If you do not wish for your child to be included, please inform us on arrival.
What are the rules for attending?
By attending, you agree to:
- Supervise your child at all times
- Follow staff/volunteer guidance
- Respect other families and the space
- Take full responsibility for your child’s safety and behaviour
